Who in a company is responsible to fill out the form to enable one to use the tin matching program?

While anyone can complete the initial registration, the IRS recommends that an officer (CFO) or accounting manager be the initial registrant for an organization. In a large organization, the AP Director or Manager may do the initial registration for e-services. That individual then can designate other individuals within their organization to use the TIN Matching e-Service. The registrant is treated as the principal, with control over others in the organization who may access the e-Services tools.

You may talk to the IRS e-Services help line by dialing 866-255-0654.

Register for the IRS's e-Services. Then log on to e-Services for TIN Matching.
